"Pete Wentz has your phone number? Amazing." Alex chuckled and shook his head, enjoying the light banter between him and Troian. "I know I’m trying to drink less." Handing her the water, Alex grabbed a snack and sat back down on the couch. He looked at Troian, he wanted to make sure he didn’t miss anything- whether she was hiding something or not, whether she was sad or happy. He felt like it was his duty as her friend to know her, to see by her facial expressions whether she really was doing okay. "Oh don’t have too high expectations though, so far we have literally just bullshit. Except for one thing but even that is just a tiny bit for a chorus and a few chords." Alex shrugged, he tried not to stress too much about the music. Being the one out of the four in the band who mainly wrote the songs definitely put more pressure on him to do well, but he had an awesome producer by his side to help him and still loads of time. "Yeah, I’m having fun." Alex stretched and chuckled before shrugging slightly. "You should think almost being halfway through my twenties I would’ve settled down but I guess that’s not happening, I’ll be the grandpa who has sex until he dies. What about you though? Any fun for you? If not I can set you up with these idiots. Jack is always ready for the forbidden."
Troian covered her mouth as she laughed, nodding her head. “That’s good, Alex.” she said, smiling over at him. She knew he had always liked to drink…. a lot in the past, but Troian wasn’t any better. She opened up the water and tilted her head back, down a quarter of the bottle in one swig. She put the bottle down and looked over at Alex, noticing that he was looking at her. “Take a picture, Gaskarth. It lasts longer.” she joked, laughing. “I love everything you guys put out, so I know it will be good.” she said confidently. She shrugged, tossing her hand into the air. “Eh who needs to settle down in their late twenties anymore? That’s so 1960’s.” she sneered. “I could totally see you doing that. Just having lots and lots of sex.” she laughed. “But I can absolutely seeing you settling down. A nice wife, couple of kids, the works.” she said seriously, smiling softly at him. She shrugged, sinking into the seat. “I don’t have time for fun anymore. I’m nearly thirty already and I can’t even remember the last time I had a conversation with a man that wasn’t about shooting or a show.” she said, playing with her fingers. She chuckled, shaking her head. “I’m good, thanks though. Maybe if I’m feeling lonely though……” she said, tapping her chin with her finger and smirking.
Alex absolutely loved how Troian and him could easily joke around. It felt natural, like they’d known eachother their entire lives. “Yeah me too, soo much make up I really need to stop using so much it’s been so cakey. Soo awful but I did find a really really cute mascara thing!!” Laughing, he opened a mini fridge that someone had filled with a few drinks and snacks. “Want something? Don’t hestitate if you want alcohol I had my first drink at twelve.” Alex chuckled and listened to Troian, he had seen a few of the things she had been in and therefore knew she was a really good actress. “That sounds nice! Who wants an oscar if you can have my approval??” He frowned at her next words, shaking his head. “No it’s not! Honestly I’m not good with being nice but if you want me to I’ll tell you that you deserve someone hot with a nice pee hole thing and you know all that.” With a sincere word, Alex tried to think of how much he wanted to give away about his past few weeks, which he hadn’t exactly spent alone- not at night at least. Afterall, he always knew the instant cure for loneliness although it didn’t heal it permanently. “Music’s going good, we pretty much bullshitted all of last night but got something done today so yeah that’s good. Can’t say anything though, we don’t even know about any new releases or anything.” Shrugging, Alex chuckled before beginning to speak about the female company he’d had. “Uh well nobody that’s worth talking about, I just had some fun.”
Troian rolled her eyes and laughed, kicking him softly with her foot. “2007 called, they want their guy liner back.” she laughed. “Twelve? That’s late for you.” she smirked. “Just a water for right now, thanks.” she added. She smiled. “Your approval is definitely better than an Oscar.” she smiled, nodding her head. Troian giggled at Alex’s next few words. She knew Alex past his sarcastic, crude humor, so the fact that he went out of his way to be nice to her just made her love him even more. “Thank you, Alex.” she smiled. “That’s good. I can’t wait to hear the new stuff. That is why I’m friends with you, to hear new All Time Low music before everyone else.” she laughed. She chuckled at the classic Alex answer he gave her. He was always quite quiet when it came to speaking about the female company he kept, but she never judged him for that. “Well I’m glad you are at least having a little fun.” she offered to him. “You deserve a bit of fun.”
The moment him and Troian were reunited, Alex felt a lot happier than he had before. He had definitely needed a friend and Troian continued to always be there for him like she always had. She was one of those people that he had no idea when she had entered his life and when they had gotten close, but he didn’t know how he could live without her. Alex sat back down on one of the couches in the studio, his guitar on his lap- he had no intention of playing but he liked playing random melodies even when they weren’t writing. “Thank you I hope my good looks aren’t distracting you. I feel gross I’ve basically spent the past week in this studio or my bed.” Shrugging, Alex looked at Troian while speaking to her. “Oh sounds like we’ve been doing the same then. What are you working on? Anything new I should know about, met someone?” Alex knew he could just ask these questions with Troian, they knew almost everything about eachother.
Troian laughed, looking at him. “Your good looks always distract me, Alex.” she joked. She just loved how even though they hadn’t seen each other in months, it didn’t feel like it. This was how close they were, Troian just always felt comfortable around Alex. “I know the feeling. I’ve had so much makeup on the last few days, it feels like it’s permanently caked onto my face. I feel disgusting.” she laughed. “Nothing too big. Just regular PLL and this short film my friend is directing. It’s not Oscar worthy, but it isn’t terrible.” she explained. She laughed, shaking her head. “Please Alex, me meeting someone? That’s funny.” she said through her laughter. She couldn’t even remember the last time she had an actual conversation with a guy that wasn’t working with her. “What about you? How’s the music writing going? Any new ladies I should know about?” she asked, much more interested in what he had been up to.
Alex missed Troian, the two of them hadn’t seen eachother in ages and he really wanted to change that. So when she agreed to come see him and the guys in the studio, Alex got excited. He had been super busy with work and therefore hadn’t seen any of his friends. His private life had once again suffered under him being a perfectionist and a little too passionate about his music. But being in a studio with producers and the other guys had gotten quite exhausting and Alex was aware that he needed a change, even if it was just someone visitng. He wanted to see nobody as badly as Troian, the two of them just got along perfectly, always had. While impatiently waiting for her to arrive, Alex and the others continued working on some tracks, but it was really nothing serious. Alex had a bit of a writers block and it was stressing him out, so when Troian knocked on the door and walked in he practically jumped out of his chair and went to hug her with the guitar still in his hand. “It’s soo good to see you, look at what disgraces I spent all day with!” He said in reference to the band and some other people sitting further into the studio, some with their phones in their hands, some eating and some actually doing some work. “You look good, how have you been?”
Troian squealed when Alex jumped up to hug her. She hugged him back, missing everything about him. How he was one of her few guy friends who was significantly taller than her, so se could hug him with ease. His shampoo. His presence. She just missed having him in her life. She laughed at his comment, going to say hi to the other guys once Alex had let her go. She had missed them all so much. Once she was finished talking to the other boys, she went back to Alex, taking a seat in the chair near a giant board of millions of buttons and knobs she had no idea did what. She chuckled, smiling. “Thanks. You don’t look too bad yourself.” she replied. “I’ve been alright, just throwing myself into work.” she sighed. It was true. Between PLL and other small projects she had been doing, she couldn’t remember the last time she had seen anyone besides her co-stars. It was exhausting, but thrilling at the same time.
Troian was buzzing. Absolutely buzzing. She couldn’t remember the last time she had seen Alex or any of the guys for that matter. She had missed their penis jokes, their crude minds, and they’re impeccable gift of making her laugh no matter what mood she was in. She had finished shooting that day, so she got into her car and followed Alex’s directions to the studio. She easily slid past the front desk with a few small words to the secretary. She double checked the room number on her phone as she walked, eventually finding the matching room. She didn’t know whether or not they were recording, so she slid in quietly and gave a small wave when she saw Alex.
